Friday was very much doing odd jobs, things that needed putting into place or being run up to various stages etc. It was a shock to the system working for 12 hours but the time seemed to fly by. It was great to see everything being set up, you underestimate how much is needed for the show to go on, I have never seen so many trucks in my whole life.
Saturday was more of the same but with music, our production office was directly behind the stage so we were able to hear everything and get glimpses of artists which did not in any way, shape or form, prepare me for how many people we would see on Sunday. The rain poured down before Beyonce and I had the privilege of meeting one of my favourite artists’ Gabrielle Aplin which made the day all the better.
Sunday was by far the best day. Louise and I got to work with Ali, the person in charge of Artist Liaison, she allowed us into the artist area where we got to work with her and that gave us the opportunity to meet a lot of very cool people. Later in the day, I had to drive The Saturdays, Joe Dempsie and Lawson which was nerve-wracking but a lot of fun.
I learnt so much about the industry over the two weeks and established important contacts which I will utilise. I am eternally grateful to Jim and David for this incredible opportunity and for the awesome Summer I had, everything I have learnt will stay with me for a very long time and aid me at University and hopefully future employment. I hope everybody had a great experience!
