I was lucky enough to be one of two students who were granted a placement through Tuskar in 2013 with a company called Blink TV who produce the festival screens and broadcast material for V Festival at Hyde park. I worked in the office for just over a week helping prep materials to go to the festival site and also assisted Editorial in researching artist biographies to create a presenter packs containing interviews, current information and trivia. Then during the festival had the best of fun driving buggies all over the site.

Now I am studying a Live Events & Television BA at UAL's London College of Communication and also working part time with a company called Princess Productions who make The Wright Stuff and Sunday Brunch. Since the placement I've also worked with companies such as Open Mike, Fudge Park, STV and more! This is all from making a single contact at Blink TV who noticed how hard working I was and gave me a chance when I contacted them later on after moving to London.

TV is such an amazing industry and having the Tuskar Trust helped in giving me an incite into how it all works! From the challenging tasks and hard work getting onto the scheme shows a can do attitude and positive mentality which is needed to succeed in such high pressured environment. I would urge anyone looking to get into any aspect of TV or Film to do their best on this placement, you never know where you'll end up.
